7:30 PM – MOM
(Erin
Greenwell, USA, 2006, 70 min) Emily Burton stars
as Kelly, a market researcher with aspirations of
being a TV news field reporter. When her marketing
firm ships her off to the town of Little Hope to
gather data, she finds herself accompanied by Linda
(comedian Julie Goldman), a butch, talkative cameraperson
who has aspirations of her own - to be a tattoo artist.
When the local hotel in Little Hope runs out of rooms
they find themselves at a youth hostel where their
adventure together begins to twist and turn as they
hesitantly cohabitate. Tensions really erupt when
a bored housewife is thrown into the mix (Emma Bowers)
and the annual Chili Cook-off hits the small town.
Friction translates to laughable moments as we take
a ride with Kelly and Linda as they learn a few things
about themselves and gain new perspectives on their
own lives. Filmmaker Erin Greenwell will
be in attendance.

9:30 PM - Another Gay Movie
(Todd
Stephens, USA, 2006, 92 min) Andy (Michael Carbonaro) is
your typical All-American seventeen-year-old gay virgin.
Like everyone else, he’s dying to have sex. Totally
out of the closet and mad-crazy horny, Andy spends much
of his private time practicing for the big moment when
he’ll finally take the plunge. Andy is not the
only booty-virgin. His three best friends, Jarod,
the buff, blonde varsity-jock stud, Griff, the valedictorian,
sinewy sexy, and a closet romantic and Nico, the pierced
alternative-kid gay-cinema expert, all join him on the
raunchy ride on the bumpy road to butt love. Mentoring
them is Muffler, the boys’ bulldyke Casanova stud
bud, a cheerleader-magnet with loads of sexual experience
under her mullet. With an all star gay cast including
James Getzloff (Boy Meets Boy), Darryl Stephens (Noah’s
Arc), Mathew Rush, Graham Norton, Scott Thompson, Lypsinka
and Richard Hatch. Inspired by films like American Pie,
Porky’s and Scary Movie, Director Todd Stephens
(Edge of Seventeen & Gypsy 83) states, “Between
the cracks, I tried to create a galaxy hopefully not
so far-far away. Where no one is tormented, tortured,
or agonizes about who they are. Where “gay” is
as normal as The Brady Bunch, and queer virgins want
the same thing as their straight counterparts – to
get laid! I set out to make the film I desperately wanted
as a gay teen and the film Jerry Falwell desperately
wants to ban.” Actor and Long Island native Michael
Carbonaro will be in attendance. Preceded
by Latch Key (Garth Bardsley, USA, 2005,
12min) Two adolescent brothers separately scheme
to woo their respective playmates for an afternoon of
sex.
After Party at the LI Eagle, Bayshore.
